How to reach us

For passage availability, include the preferred month, approximate group size and whether you are considering a shared or private departure. We will reply with the relevant departure area, indicative timings and the information needed before a booking can be considered.

For editorial corrections, identify the article and the specific statement concerned. We welcome documentary sources and will distinguish between a factual correction, a reasonable difference in historical interpretation and information that has changed since publication.

Passage enquiries

The quickest route for a new passage enquiry is the form on the main article page. Submitting the form does not reserve a date or create a contract. The likely route is considered only after weather windows, vessel availability and the group’s practical requirements are understood.

We do not arrange unsupervised access to protected wrecks, salvage activity or recreational diving. Surface interpretation is planned to respect navigational restrictions, memorial significance and the skipper’s safety assessment.

Editorial standards

Our historical features draw on published records, heritage bodies, specialist archives and responsible maritime practitioners. When evidence is incomplete, the language of the article should reflect that uncertainty rather than present a theory as a settled fact.

If a correction changes the central meaning of a story, we may add a dated correction note. Minor typographic or clarity edits may be made without a separate notice.

Office correspondence

The Preston address is the company’s official contact address. It is not a passenger departure point, visitor centre or ticket office. Joining locations are supplied only for confirmed passages and may vary according to the route and vessel.

Please do not send original archive material without making prior arrangements. We cannot accept responsibility for unsolicited physical items.

Fathom & Wake arranges surface maritime heritage passages; routes, timings and visible points of interest depend on weather, sea state and the skipper’s judgement. These trips do not include diving, salvage or permission to enter protected sites. Booking is confirmed only when written terms and payment instructions have been issued.
